The Class of 2024 graduated 64 students today at 2:00 p.m. in the Treynor High School West Gym. The event was live-streamed here and was preceded with the playing of the Senior Parent video. The ceremony began with the High School Choir singing an opening song and the THS Band playing the processional and National Anthem. Superintendent Dr. Joel Beyenhof gave a welcome, followed by Haley Nowlin delivering her speech "Long Live Class of 2024". The High School Choir performed "In the Silence" by Jacob Narverud and was followed by the band playing "Celebration" by Randall Standridge. Danny Kinsella delivered "The Next Chapter" and was followed by Cadence Quick's speech, "To the Class of 2024". High School Principal Mr. Rick Nickerson gave the Honors Recognition and delivered his remarks to the graduates. The presentation of diplomas was announced by MS/HS Counselor Danie Floerchinger and handed out by Board President Brandon Vorthmann with Superintendent Beyenhof. We want to wish The Class of 2024 all the best as they begin a new chapter. We hope they remember that Excellence Expected = Excellence Achieved.
Congratulations to the boys' golf team for their performance at districts on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Panorama Golf Course in Panora, Iowa. The team will advance to state golf which will be held at Coldwater Links in Ames on May 20th and 21st.

Sophi Pedersen earned a trip to state golf with her performance at Regional Finals on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Leon Country Club. Sophi fired an 83 and finished in fourth place. Girls 2A State Golf will be held at Cedar Point Golf Course in Boone, Iowa on May 23rd and 24th.
Tickets for the event must be purchased online at the GoBound Girls Golf website.
This year's seniors in Mrs. Boldra's Spanish 4 class were able to go back to where most of them started their school career. They spent time planning and creating a mini-lesson in Spanish for the elementary students. This was a great way for the seniors to end their last day of high school, and a great opportunity for the younger students to see the older ones involved in creating something specifically for them. A very special day for both the seniors and the elementary students!

Treynor Elementary Fifth Grade students took part in the annual Arbor Day project coordinated by the Optimist Club. They had a top-ten weather day to plant some trees and add mulch to areas around the high school football field. The students were assisted by some Junior Optimist members as well.

For those new to this process, these kits contain everything your child will need for their classroom and the kits are delivered to the school before the first day of school. Generally, elementary kits are delivered to the teacher's classroom for Meet Your Teacher Night (Date/Time TBD).
